Allen wins big in the Ward 6 Democratic primary with 58% of the vote.
Yesterday, hundreds of volunteers fanned out across our neighborhoods - working the polls, calling supporters, and knocking on doors. After months of hard work, it paid off with a great victory last night!
As I cast my own ballot yesterday, I shared that moment with my family. It was a special moment as I thought about everything I love about my community and my neighbors - and why this is my home.
I am honored and humbled by your support. We ran on a vision to fight for neighborhoods everyone can call home and I am thankful to share this victory with so many of you! When we launched the campaign, I knew I wanted to do it the right way -- and that sometimes meant the hard way. With over 20,000 doors knocked, over 100 living room meet-and-greets, and a campaign team of hundreds and hundreds of neighborhood volunteers, I can tell you we won this the right way.
The reality is that our work has just begun. But for now, I want to say a heartfelt thank you for your trust, your support, and all of your help to make Election Day a great success for Ward 6!
